Patrick, 13 years old, abdominal pain
Problem:
Patrick was brought to Atlantic Chiropractic having already visited the ER and his primary care doctor several times in the last year for stomach pain and cramping. Many tests were done and the diagnosis was stomach pain, cause unknown.
Treatment:
After lengthy questioning and nutritional analysis, we began to suspect Patrick had food sensitivities. We ordered a blood test and he was found to be very sensitive to high fructose corn syrup (HFCS).
Outcome:
Patrick eliminated HFCS from his diet and hasn’t had stomach pain for several years now.
